What did you want to gain from your new home.
HCO: We wanted to gain bigger bedrooms, all ensuite, more storage, larger living room, more open feel, loft extension with one large area / multi function / games room. We asked for large windows in the loft space. We also asked for opening up and more light in our hallway. We wanted a fresher, new look to the house, so decided on white render, compared to original red brick.
Why did you choose Fluent ADS to help you design your project?
HCO: We had read good reviews and had good recommendations for Fluent. When we met with Nigel from Fluent, he listened to our brief and his design very much reflected our wishes.
How did the team help you create your finished plans?
HCO: We gave feedback to the initial design from Fluent and this was then changed to accommodate all our wishes. Fluent was very helpful and listened to us.
How has your extension/loft conversion changed the way you live?
HCO: The loft extension has given us a great extra space for entertainment and relaxing. It is mainly used by our son, who often has several friends over and the space is ideal for them, as it is a totally separate area. I designed the interior of the loft room as multi-function with a large TV screen, bar area, pool table, but also ensuite bathroom so that room can be turned into a master bedroom, if required.
Would you recommend Fluent ADS to anyone looking to complete their own home renovation?
HCO: Yes we would recommend Fluent and already have to others looking to renovate their home. Very nice company to work with. We also liked that there was a contact point, who would liaise with the planning application office. Fluent also recommended our builders, ‘Inspire4Design’, who were great
