There are a number of grants available to help people with their finances, including the warm home discount. HEATING & BOILER GRANTS

The Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) or Affordable Warmth scheme was launched in 2013 and works in conjunction with the Green Deal to encourage consumers to improve energy efficiency in their homes and ultimately reduce the overall energy consumption of the UK.

Heating Grant Types

Grants are available for the following fuel / boiler types:

· Gas Boilers

· Oil fired boilers

· LPG fired boilers

· Electric storage heaters

Home Insulation Grants UK

HOME INSULATION GRANTS

There are many types of insulation grants available for most of the UK that fall under various schemes like the national “Affordable Warmth scheme” , the “Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) scheme” along with various local incentive schemes.

Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Payments

The domestic renewable heat incentive allows all UK households to earn up to £3,390 per year for heating their home using renewable technologies.

Ground and Air Source Heat Pumps – Up To £12,000 installation grant available now.

The tariffs are paid quarterly for 7 years and have been set at a level that reflects the expected cost of renewable heat generation over 20 years.

The payments rise annually in line with the retail price index (RPI). Changes will come into effect on 1 April each year.

The technologies involved in the RHI are:

· Air source heat pumps (7.3p/kWh)

· Biomass boilers and biomass pellet stoves with back burner (12.2p/kWh)

· Ground source heat pumps (18.8p/kWh and )

· Solar water heating (19.2p/kWh)

Free Insulation – Free cavity wall and loft insulation

·      You are likely to be eligible for 100% funding for insulation grants if you or anybody in your home are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:

Boiler upgrades available for UK Households

Boiler upgrades are still available for thousands of UK households as part of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme introduced by the Government in 2013 to replace the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) and the Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP).

The ECO scheme legally requires the main energy suppliers to install energy efficient technologies such as A-Rated, fuel efficient condensing boilers and heating systems to domestic households in the UK.
